Best credit card sized digital camera?

Best credit card sized digital camera?
panasonic review
I’d like to purchase a digital camera for my dad’s birthday. He’s mentioned before that he likes those credit card sized cameras, so I’ve been reading the reviews on Casio and Panasonic but the image quality on those cameras just don’t seem to beat Canon, although the sizes are much more slim.

Any recommendations? Thanks.

  1. Go for the Canon SD1000. It’s pretty small, has 7MP, a 2.5″ LCD, 3x zoom, AND an opitcal viewfinder. (And a good price :) )

  2. nikon coolpix L6 under $200 an it the best camera i have ever owned nikon speaks for it self it used to aa batterys and claim it will take 1000 pictures before you need to replace them i havent had mine long enought to replace the set it came with 3 weeks and still shooting

Go to newegg.com they have really good deals for most electronics.

What you want to look for in a digital camera is a high mega pixel count and a high OPTICAL zoom (not digital zoom). The higher the better. You’ll want to get him a beefed up flash card as well, most digital cameras come with almost no memory you want at least 1gb-4gb depending on how many pictures/videos you want to hold. Also don’t forget to get him a big pack of batteries or some rechargables. Digital cameras will eat up the batteries.

  4. Nothing is really credit card sized, but I’ll agree with the Canon SD1000. It’s about as small as they come and it’s a good camera.
