Which LCD HDTV should I get. Toshiba 40XV645U or Sharp LC40E77U?
lcd review
Both are 1080p 40″ LCD HDTVs. I plan on using the TV for gaming, movies, and regular TV watching.
Both are 120hz but I have only found an in depth review of the Toshiba.
If anyone can tell me something about these models, it would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve been waiting for the new sharp 1080p 120hz model to come out and when it did Amazon has a great price for it. I have another Sharpe LCD TV (37″) and they both work and look great. The picture is great though I don’t think I can tell the difference of 120 hz because I didn’t have a complaint on my non-120 hz TV. The unit is self is slick and like the manufacturer – Sharp! The menu is easy to navigate.
When I ran my calibration DVD on this TV, I found most of the settings were all ready right on out of the box. This unit has more HDMI ports and also has a port for your computer, both were important to me.
One of the best part about buying this TV is my experience with Amazon. It was easy. Amazon also allows you to choose a 4 hour window on line for delivery. The delivery people came on time and were super courteous. The shipping box was in great condition, without dents. They unpacked the TV and all the accessory parts for me to inspect – everything was pristine – before they left. They also offered to help me move my old TV and bring my new TV upstairs (I declined). I couldn’t be more happier with my purchase

I would look into LED Tv’s now because they have the best colors and contrasts and use 40% less energy and are very slim. LG has one for 1600 bucks in best buy at 42 inch and 240hz, I would look into that.
If you have a big living room, go with the biggest size you can afford.
I have a 54 in Sharp LCD 1080P and it has been great for almost 2 years.
I have never had a Sharp product fail, I’m still running a 10 yr. old 25 inch reg. tv in my shop.
